Description:
The training course prepares for acting as a second language support teacher at the workplace for
workers with an immigrant background. It is directed to language teachers and other guidance counsellors working with jobseekers. Language support directs the process of mutual learning and adaptation, by which a worker with an immigrant background acquires the interaction skills required for the job. The language awareness and inclusive approach is introduced into the work community.
Learning results:
The trained language teachers will be able to implement a language learning support
programme at the end of the course.
The language support teachers learn how to add to the language awareness of the
work community.Language support ensures a successful start in working life by also supporting the
self-confidence of first-time jobseekers.The trained teachers can make sure that an immigrant job seeker gets employed and can cope with the various language situations and demands at the workplace.
